In Israel the dusty and tarnished slogan of "kochi v'estzem yadi" - my power and strength,,, has been ailing for years and reaffirmed as dead after the summer war against Hezbollah. The most popular saying among the young adults in Israel is "ain lee koach" meaning, "I have no physical, mental, emotional or biblical strength to continue my existence in the holy land". This permeating feeling has intensified the popularity of the left wing media and its hypnotized followers who are then led comma-like by the decision makers and leaders of the country.
It can be debated, what is worse, "Kochi v'estzem yadi" or "Ain lee koach"? When a nation believes in "my power and strength" it can more easily be channeled to spiritual avenues than a belief in "I have no strength". Can we combine invincibility with humility? I believe so, but it will take abit longer...

There are enough examples thoughout military history in which small outnumbered armies defeated much larger foes that it is possible to argue that the the Six Day War was yet another example of that. Therefore it is essential that we actively affirm that HaShem's hand was in action in this miracle. I don't see why we don't say Al HaNisim just as we do for Chanukah! I do not in any way wish to diminish the role of the brave soldiers and officers of the IDF, but this could not have happened without HaShem.
