The Family Is Gathering…
They’re not saying much about this in the news yet, but apparently family members and political officials are gathering and even planning. Nonetheless (in reply to those who wondered about praying for a miracle) a full or partial recovery would be a nes nistar, a hidden miracle; we don’t know how the brain works yet… His name is Ariel ben Devorah.
Why use the mother’s name and not the father’s? Is the father unknown?
The custom when praying for one’s recovery is to use the mother’s name.

Women have greater compassion and mercy, so the mother’s feelings towards her child are recalled in this context.
