Clarity
R. Noach Weinberg famously says “Clarity or Death”…Over the years, I’ve come to see this not as a quip, not as hyperbole, but as true wisdom - an extremely precise statement of the way the world works. First I saw it in the context of Jews in Israel; then I saw it as it relates to all of Western Civilization.

I guess I answered the Saifa before the Raisha. The writer there makes a powerful, lomdishe, scary point. Dennis Prager has opined several times that this is one of the major differences between European secularist non-values and American Judeo-christian values.
To me, this is just one more manifestation of that idea.
