    He also erected statues honoring Che Guevara and Fidel Castro, so Mr. Mayor is nothing if not consistent.

    *cringes and sighs* Question: is this largely due to the mass of Nazi war-criminals that fled to South America or did the Brazilians stumble onto anti-Semitism all on their own?

    Well, I suppose it could be Nazis; could be South American Catholicism – but I highly doubt it is either. The context gives it all away – the guy honors Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Jimmy Carter – it’s just good old fashioned Lefty thinking.
